PBBM: GOV’T PREPARING TO BRING PINOYS OUT OF SUDAN FOLLOWING 72-HOUR CEASEFIRE DECLARATION

Dateline Kamuning:   The government is doing the necessary preparations in anticipation of the 72-hour ceasefire declared in Sudan, hoping it could provide an opportunity to bring home Filipinos stuck in the war-torn country, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said on Tuesday. PBBM GOV’T TO APPOINT MORE LABOR ATTACHES

Dateline Kamuning:         The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is looking at adding more labor attaches to protect the rights of Filipino migrant workers. Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Susan “Toots” Ople made the announcement during a meeting with the Filipino community in Brussels, Belgium on Monday. “Next year may budget na tayo. Makakatulong na kami nang husto sa inyo. Magdadagdag kami ng mga office ng labor attaches natin. So, pag-aaralan natin sa Europe, kung saan kami pwedeng magdagdag,” Ople said, to the delight of members of the Filipino community in Brussels. Benny Laguesma at "Toots" Ople kinausap ni BBM

  Inalok ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. si dating Labor Secretary Benny Laguesma at Susan “Toots” Ople na maging bahagi ng kanyang administrasyon. Ito ang kinumpirma Atty. Vic Rodriguez, tagapagsalita ng incoming-president. Ayon kay Rodriguez, bago bumiyahe patungong Australia kinausap ni Marcos si Laguesma at inalok na pamunuang muli ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Si Ms. Ople naman ang napaulat na itatalaga ni BBM bilang kalihim ng bagong tatag na Department of Migrant Workers. Sa ngayon, wala pang desisyon sina Laguesma at Ople at  humiling muna ng panahon para konsultahin ang kanilang mga mahal sa buhay.
