PBBM PLEDGES FULL SUPPORT TO AFP TO FULFILL NEW CHALLENGES

Marcos Jr. on Friday expressed full support to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) as it fulfils new challenges in the performance of their duties, especially in their crucial role as the country’s first line of defense against external security threats. “I am certain that our partners will be more than willing to aid us in developing your capabilities and making the necessary investments to ensure that we achieve our shared goals for the country and for this region,” the President told the officers and men of the AFP in Clark Air Base in Pampanga. RESOURCES MUST BE FOCUSED ON ALL THREATS: CENTINO

Dateline Kamuning:   Newly-appointed Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief-of-staff, Gen. Andres Centino, said all available resources must be employed to address current and emerging security threats. "While significant gains have been achieved in our security campaigns, there remain critical tasks to be carried out that need to be fully complied [with]. We must ensure that all our resources are employed to definitively address all the current and emerging threats,” he said during the change-of-command ceremonies held at the AFP Commissioned Officers Club in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City Saturday.     Centino replaced Medal of Valor awardee, Lt. Gen.
