BARBERS IN FULL SUPPORT OF NAPOLCOM FINDINGS ON PNP METRICS

Image
Dateline Kamuning:   Surigao del Norte Representative and Chairman of the Dangerous Drugs Committee expressed full support and agreement with NAPOLCOM Vice-Chair Atty. Alberto Bernardo, on the latter’s findings that the PNP system of promotion and performance rating of anti-drug police operatives is seriously flawed as it is geared towards the number of arrests and seizures, leading to staged, fake and fabricated “accomplishments”, to the detriment of innocent people who languish in jail with trumped up charges.  “Imagine, based on these fake accompishments, the officers kept on being promoted until they are high up in the ladder and can control and influence the organization. They have become so accustomed with their illegal activities that they have become a big part of the whole drug syndicate. The promotion is just one part, the worst part is the reward, monetary as well as “saving” a huge chunk of the drug haul, as another form of rewarding themselves. This drug haul is c...

PBBM: NO LETUP IN ANTI-DRUGS CAMPAIGN BUT POLICY WILL FOCUS ON DISMANTLING SYNDICATES, REEDUCATION

Image
Dateline Kamuning: There is no letup in the government campaign against illegal drugs, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said Thursday, adding that policy changes in the strategy will now focus more on dismantling drug syndicates and strengthening reeducation programs. “We have taken enforcement as far as we can. Now, it is time to look at actually going after dismantling these syndicates,” Marcos said during a question-and-answer session held at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington. “Further back to that process is also… the process of reeducation, of explaining especially to our young people what the damage — what the potential damage is to their lives should they be involved in this way, not only as users, not only as addicts, but also as dealers and operators of these syndicates,” he added. Marcos said he cannot speak in behalf of his predecessor’s anti-drug campaign or “what he had in mind” but acknowledged its rallying point that illega...

"For all travelers via different airlines or seaports, let's all ensure that no untoward incidents will happen at the airports and seaports especially the baggage or belongings of passengers," General Azurin said. "To those taking the bus, please ensure that the drivers are okay, not tired and the buses are in good running conditions. Let's keep this holy week one of the safest and most peaceful one." NO PNP MEMO ON FULL ALERT STATUS, MILITARY UNREST

Image
Dateline Kamuning:   The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday denied reports that it has mobilized all units and resources to foil a supposed destabilization plot of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). In an online press conference, PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said there was no instruction or order to go on full alert after three versions of a supposed memorandum circulated on social media. "There was no instruction for full alert status. What we can confirm is that the PNP is on heightened alert status in preparation for the Traslacion," said Fajardo, loosely referring to the Feast of the Black Nazarene or the Quiapo feast in Manila on Monday.     A heightened status is the second highest alert, equivalent to the AFP's blue alert. The Feast of the Black Nazarene draws millions of devotees but the Traslacion, or the transfer of the life-sized replica from Quirino Grandstand to the Quiapo Church, will not be hel...

Good luck General

Keep it up, Sir.
