PBBM TASKS POCS TO ADDRESS POLITICAL VIOLENCE, ILLEGAL DRUGS

PNP TO CONCLUDE REVIEW ON COPS’ POSSIBLE DRUG LINKS, SAYS PBBM

Dateline Kamuning: An internal review being conducted in the Philippine National Police (PNP) aimed at determining cops with drug links will conclude in two weeks or so, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said on Tuesday, as he vowed to relentlessly fight the proliferation of illicit narcotics in the country. “Kaya naman ating ginawa ‘yung review, mga official sa police at dahan-dahan… malapit nang matapos. I think in another two weeks or so, we’ll be able to finish that. BJMP SUPPORTS ABALOS ‘WAR ON DRUGS’ CAMPAIGN

  Dateline Kamuning:       The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) fully supports the ‘war on drugs’ campaign of the Secretary of the Interior and Local Government (SILG) Benjamin Abalos Jr. “Tuloy-tuloy ang kampanya ng BJMP laban sa illegal na droga,” BJMP chief Jail Director Iral said. The Jail Bureau maintains close coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Philippine National Police, local government units, and anti-drug advocates in its campaign against drugs.   Aside from the regular and joint greyhound operations in jail units, the Jail Bureau also conducts regular and random drug testing of personnel and persons deprived of liberty (PDL) in all its 478 BJMP-manned facilities nationwide. Iral also stressed that massive greyhound operations were continuously conducted in all district, city, and municipal jails nationwide as part of the BJMP’s intensified crackdown operation on illegal drugs and contraband in jails. ...
