With the firm resolve to have the proposed P5.268-trillion “Agenda for Prosperity” 2023 national budget signed into law before year-end, the House of Representatives and Senate convened the meeting of the Bicameral Conference Committee to harmonize the disagreeing provisions of the 2023 General Appropriations Bill. 

 

 


 

Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez underscored the House’s commitment to ratify the first budget proposal under the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. before Congress goes on recess especially since the measure aims to sustain the country’s economic growth, create more jobs, ensure food security and lower the cost of transport, logistics and energy, among others.

Ilang buwan ang nakararaan naaresto ng Manila Police District ang tatlong Pakistani national na nagbebenta ng ‘counterfeit’ o pekeng gamot. Ilang concerned citizen kasi ang dumulog sa MPD dahil ang tatlong dayuhan ay nagbebenta ng mga ‘branded’ na gamot sa murang halaga. Ayon sa MPD, ang mga ‘branded’ na pekeng gamot ay ‘naproxen sodium, paracetamol, dextromethorphan at phenylephrine.’

PBBM TO GOV’T AGENCIES: IMPLEMENT WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES

In light of the looming El Niño phenomenon or the long dry spell, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has directed all government agencies to strictly implement water conservation measures. In  Memorandum Circular No. 22 , dated 7 June 2023 and signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, the President orders the Water Resource Management Office (WRMO) and its network of agencies to take the lead in implementing water conservation measures to avert a possible water crisis amid the dry spell in the next months.
