HIGH AFP PUBLIC SATISFACTION RATING TO FURTHER BOOST TROOP MOTIVATION' – GALVEZ

The Department of National Defense congratulated the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for its excellent public satisfaction rating for 2022, as reported by the recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) Survey.

"On behalf of the entire One Defense Team, I proudly and warmly congratulate our Armed Forces for once again garnering the unequivocal support of the Filipino people with their performance," Secretary Carlito G. Galvez, Jr. said.

 


 

In the December 2022 survey of the SWS, the AFP achieved an "excellent +76" net score for its performance, an increase of nine (9) points from the net of +67 in December 2021.

Conducted with 1,200 adult respondents, the SWS survey also showed the AFP maintaining high confidence scores in addressing internal and external threats to the country's peace and stability.

"Amid the complex challenges to our national security, the AFP continues to rise to the occasion and serve the people with integrity, strength, and patriotism," Secretary Galvez added.

The Defense Chief also ensured that the DND remains committed to providing support to the AFP's further development as well as pursuing policies and programs that will enable the organization to better serve our country.

Ilang buwan ang nakararaan naaresto ng Manila Police District ang tatlong Pakistani national na nagbebenta ng ‘counterfeit’ o pekeng gamot. Ilang concerned citizen kasi ang dumulog sa MPD dahil ang tatlong dayuhan ay nagbebenta ng mga ‘branded’ na gamot sa murang halaga. Ayon sa MPD, ang mga ‘branded’ na pekeng gamot ay ‘naproxen sodium, paracetamol, dextromethorphan at phenylephrine.’

PBBM TO GOV’T AGENCIES: IMPLEMENT WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES

In light of the looming El Niño phenomenon or the long dry spell, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has directed all government agencies to strictly implement water conservation measures. In  Memorandum Circular No. 22 , dated 7 June 2023 and signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, the President orders the Water Resource Management Office (WRMO) and its network of agencies to take the lead in implementing water conservation measures to avert a possible water crisis amid the dry spell in the next months.
